Hi there!

Nice to meet you! My name’s Emma and I’m a writer.

I’ve always lived
inside my head.

When I was little, I used to spend hours just sitting on the bed and imagining random scenarios and having them play out in different ways. It made me happy and kept my brain busy – something I chase almost daily, even now.

I didn’t like reading when I was little, but in my adolescence, I simply devoured them. Those stories allowed me to experience life ten times over and broadened my horizons beyond my wildest dreams.

How it all started

Around the same time, when I was about 14, I also started writing. I’ve maybe taken some breaks here and there, but I’ve never really stopped since. Started with shorter stories, a poem or two, but gravitated towards long-form since I’m incapable of being concise. The writing process itself made me happy enough on its own, but seeing other people connect with what you wrote is like catnip. It connects you with people in a way that, ironically enough, I can’t put into words. Not eloquently at least.

I’ve always wanted to write books and have two or three concepts from my youth still looming on my computer, but I never had the proper focus needed to finish them. It takes a lot of focus and stamina to chisel the same story month after month after month.

I guess that stamina came with age because here I am, self-published and loving it. I still have a few more stories in me, so here’s to hoping that stamina doesn’t die down!
